How to configure NTP server on Linux

Network Time Protocol(NTP). it’s using UDP port 123. NTP is using for synchronizing the clocks of computers over a network. Now we share how to install NTP server on Linux.

Install NTP package

yum install ntp

after install then we open NTP configuration file and change public server pool.ntp.org project and replace it with your country.

           server 0.asia.pool.ntp.org
	   server 1.asia.pool.ntp.org
	   server 2.asia.pool.ntp.org
	   server 3.asia.pool.ntp.org

then allow the client to synchronize the clocks

restrict 192.168.10.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 nomodify notrap

Finally, start NTP service

service ntpd start
