How to Configure OsTicket In Ubuntu

 

Osticket is Open Source Supporting System. its Free,reliable and easy to setup. in this tutorial we share how to install Osticket

Step 1 Need to update and upgrade all package

aptget update
aptget upgrade
Step 2 Install LAMP server with PHP extension
aptget y install apache2 mysqlserver mysqlclient php5 php5mysql php5imap php5gd php5enmod imap
Start Apache and Mysql
/etc/init.d/apache2 start
/etc/init.d/mysql start
Step 3 Configure Mysql Server
mysql_secure_installation
Need to login Mysql
mysql -u root -p
 Create Database
create database osticketdb
CREATE USER ‘osticketuser’@’localhost’ IDENTIFIED BY ‘password’;
GRANT ALL ON osticketdb.* TO ‘osticketuser’@’localhost’;
flush privileges;
exit;
Step 4 Install OsTicket
sudo wget http://osticket.com/sites/default/files/download/osTicket-v1.9.12.zip
sudo cp -r /osTicket-v1.9.12.zip /var/www/
sudo mkdir osticket
sudo unzip osTicket-v1.9.12.zip -d osticket
Change Permission
chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/osticket/
Restart Apache Service
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
Open your browser and navigate to http://yourdomain.com/osticket or http://server-ip/osticket

Next copy file ost-sampleconfig.php and rename to ost-config.php

cd /var/www/osticket
cp include/ost-sampleconfig.php include/ost-config.php

change permission

cd /var/www/tickets
chmod 0664 include/ost-config.php

After the installation get completed you will get the Congratulation page

Step 5 try to access Osticket through your browser http://server-ip/osticket/scp.login
